AMVETS Auxiliary

AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary, a volunteer organization representing families of American veterans, has been a partner with John Tracy Clinic since 1975.

The Auxiliary provides John Tracy Clinic with a nation-wide framework for fund raising among a dedicated group of Americans. For more than 30 years, the 450 posts of the Ladies Auxiliary and the AMVETS Organization have raised money specifically for JTC’s Distance Learning for Parents (formerly, the Worldwide Correspondence Course) and International Summer Sessions. In addition, the Auxiliary members donate handmade teddy bears for each child who comes to JTC for audiological testing. They also work throughout the year gathering used hearing aids to send JTC. The audiologists at JTC send these used hearing aids back to the manufacture for credit toward the purchase of new loaner aids for the children.

AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary organizes an annual convention to showcase its philanthropic activities. The Clinic is always invited to promote its services through a booth set up on the convention floor, and Clinic families in the host city are asked to give testimonials on their experiences at John Tracy Clinic.
