Become a Commentator
Remark on what is happening all around you. Add words during your child’s activities. Encourage him to be imaginative and talkative in his play.
Describe what a baby sees and does. Narrate a toddler’s participation in routines. Comment to a preschooler on actions and feelings in stories.
As you “become a commentator” you expand children’s understanding of varied concepts, increase their attention and value what they think and say.
